Manager / Director of Demand Generation

Appaegis an innovative Cybersecurity company committed to helping organizations protect their data. We are looking for a demand generation expert to help fuel growth. The individual will play a critical role in establishing the foundation of a marketing organization that can help capture the demand for a solution that provides the trifecta of protecting data across all applications, applying principles of least access privilege and providing continuous visibility into all data access.

The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B SaaS security software, a strong background in demand generation strategy development, and hand on execution experience. The candidate will be responsible for planning, implementation, and execution of integrated demand generation programs designed to grow the sales pipeline. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the position is an individual contributor role with the opportunity to grow the team as the company grows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive demand generation plan to feed the appetite for our aggressive sales goals.
  • Manage and execute a plan that combines digital (SEO, Social, PPC, digital ads), email, events, content, and more to develop a constant flow of inbound leads and nurture existing ones.
  • Partner with product experts and content developers to build compelling content for use in content marketing campaigns.
  • Develop a map of buyers, influencers, and key stakeholders and the most pressing challenges we can address.
  • Own campaign strategy and plans with execution support from web, design, copy, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate events and manage event logistics.
  • Help identify, evaluate, select, and manage vendors to execute a broad range of marketing activities.
  • Partner with sales to ensure quality lead delivery and effective follow-up. Establish a feedback loop and partnership to continuously improve processes and optimize programs.
  • Establish key success metrics (including leads, MQLs, SQLs) and closely monitor conversion rates and campaign performance.
  • Communicate progress and results to the executive team.
  • Help refine positioning and messaging to address customer pinpoints.
  • Help build a strategic marketing plan for the organization.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS demand generation is essential.
  • Experience in building demand programs in a fast-paced, high growth startup environment.
  • Experience building, managing, reporting on, and optimizing multichannel campaigns to build the sales pipeline.
  • A proactive and resourceful candidate who is willing to experiment with new ideas, willing to take a risk, and learn from their experience.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy and persona-based marketing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work across the organization to inform stakeholders and bring people along for the journey.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, vendors, and activities.
  • Ability to work autonomously, be a self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Marketing tech stack experience: HubSpot, Outreach, SEMrush, Google Analytics, ABM strategies, LinkedIn preferred.
  • Experience with ABM is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication or Marketing preferred.
  • Experience in cybersecurity is not essential but strongly preferred.
